Biography

Dale W. Webb is a partner at Miller & Webb, LLP, and concentrates his practice in the areas of Workers' Compensation and Civil Litigation. Mr. Webb has been voted by his peers as one of the Best Lawyers in America in the area of workers' compensation law each year since 2013 and has been awarded the Ten Best Workers' Compensation Attorney in Virginia by the American Institute of Legal Counsel. Mr. Webb has served as chair of the Workers' Compensation section for the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys.

Mr. Webb has extensive experience in workers' compensation cases, representing individuals, insurance companies and self-insureds, as well as experience representing employers. Mr. Webb is the author of RIDD (Recognize, Identify, Detect and Deter), a system for defending fraudulent workers' compensation claims. He has represented clients in discrimination, wrongful discharge, harassment and retaliation cases. He also regularly counsels employers and insurers on strategic issues to minimize the risk of litigation.

Mr. Webb co-chairs the Workers' Compensation section. With over 30 years of trial experience, Mr. Webb regularly handles matters before the Virginia Worker's Compensation Commission, Virginia Courts, and the US District Court, Western District of Virginia. Mr. Webb has appeared and argued before the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals on matters involving Title VII and Constitutional issues.

Mr. Webb has been retained by the Police Benevolent Association since 2015 to represent police officers on grievance matters throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. In 2017, Mr. Webb was appointed by the 23rd Judicial Circuit to serve as a panel judge for a grievance hearing.

Mr. Webb received his Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction from Roanoke College in 1983 and his law degree from the University of Richmond in 1986. Mr. Webb served as a member of the University of Richmond Law Review and is a published author for the Law Review Journal.
